Considerations & Trade-offs
- The 21 dB NRR is a hearing-protection rating, so it may be less suitable than higher-rated options for shooters who want more attenuation in louder environments.
- The 3.5 mm audio input adds compatibility with MP3 players and two-way radios, but it also means the unit is designed around wired input rather than wireless connectivity.
- Battery life depends on 2 AAA batteries, which are not included, so ongoing use requires keeping spares on hand.
- The 4-hour auto shutoff helps preserve battery life, but it also means the unit may power down if left on between strings or during longer breaks.
