Overview

The Accuracy International AX Rifle System is a short action platform based on AI's established family of highly successful AW rifles. A bolt-action single shot rifle with free-floating barrel and a magazine capacity of ten rounds, fulfills the need for a highly accurate long range sniper rifle. Like the AW series, all AX rifles utilize an aluminum chassis system, which ensures insensitivity to temperature and humidity, thus ensuring a constant zero. A right-folding stock and removable barrel allows the system to be broken down and secured in a small transport case or pack. Designed around the.308 Winchester cartridge, the AX can be converted for use with other short action cartridges such as the 6.5 Creedmoor - at the user level. A 2-stage trigger coupled with a large trigger guard provides the ideal firing system for tactical and cold weather environments. However, a competition trigger is also available for target shooters and competitors seeking more adjustability. ACCESSORY RAILS: With AI's patented KeySlot(TM) system, sections of STANAG 4694/Mil-Std 1913 accessory rail can be attached anywhere on the fore-end, so rail mountable equipment can be positioned with complete flexibility. The top accessory rail is matched to the angle on the action rail. SLING POINTS: Quick detach flush cup style for rapid sling repositioning. Three points are located on the main chassis, and removable/reposition-able points are located on rail sections on the fore-end. CHEEK PIECE: Lateral/height adjustment. 4mm hex key for refit and re-positioning of accessory rails. BUTT PAD: Rotating and friction-locking mechanism for quick and tool-less pad height and angle adjustment. Pull length can be adjusted by 40mm with the addition of 10 and 20mm spacers.
