Aero Precision M5E1 Features The 18-inch 4150 Chrome Moly Vanadium (CMV) steel barrel features a 1:10 twist rate optimizing bullet stabilization for improved accuracy. The barrel is treated with a QPQ corrosion-resistant finish inside and out enhancing durability and longevity. A rifle-length gas system ensures reliable cycling while the .750-inch gas block journal accommodates low-profile gas blocks. The M5E1 upper receiver is forged from 7075-T6 aluminum providing strength without unnecessary weight. It includes M4 feed ramps and comes assembled with a forward assist and port door installed. The integrated handguard mounting platform simplifies assembly and enhances rigidity. Paired with a 16.6-inch Gen 2 Enhanced M-LOK Handguard this upper offers ample space for accessory attachment. The handguard features quick disconnect sling sockets at the 3 6 and 9 o clock positions built-in anti-rotation tabs and a continuous top rail for seamless integration of optics and sights. The 1.78-inch inside diameter accommodates most muzzle devices and 1.5-inch suppressors. A standard .308 A2 birdcage flash hider is installed to reduce muzzle flash.
