Considerations & Trade-offs
- The 3.5-28x optical magnification and up to 8x digital zoom give it a wide usable range, but the higher end will rely more on digital zoom than native magnification.
- Battery life is listed at up to 11.5 hours on a single charge in one section, while another specification notes up to 9 hours and includes 2 batteries, so runtime may vary by configuration or use.
- The 256x192 thermal detector and 1024x768 OLED display are solid, but they are still entry-level thermal specs compared with higher-resolution units.
- With 10 selectable reticles and 4 color palettes, setup flexibility is strong, but the number of options may take some time to sort through in the field.
