Considerations & Trade-offs
- Chambered in 5.56x45mm NATO, so ammunition selection should be matched to that caliber rather than assuming broader compatibility.
- The 9" M-LOK handguard is polymer, which keeps weight down but offers a different feel and accessory-mounting approach than metal handguards.
- At 5.5 lbs with a synthetic stock and polymer grips/receiver, the rifle emphasizes light carry weight over a more substantial all-metal build.
- The 30+1 capacity is useful for extended strings, but overall setup remains a semi-automatic rifle rather than a platform intended for rapid-fire use.
