Considerations & Trade-offs
- Digital magnification is 1.5-6x, so it is aimed at medium- to short-range use rather than long-range observation.
- The 35 mm germanium lens and 640x480 sensor are paired for thermal imaging performance, but the product is still a dedicated optic with a specific field of view and use case.
- Video capture, USB streaming, and external viewing add versatility, but they also introduce extra setup and power-management considerations in the field.
- The package includes a quick-detach mount and accessories, yet platform compatibility should still be checked against the intended firearm or setup before purchase.
