- The 22x18 degree field of view is broad for situational awareness, but it is a trade-off if you want a tighter, more magnified view of distant details.
- The unit is built around a 1x-4x zoom range, so it is best suited to scanning and identification rather than replacing a dedicated long-range optic.
- Video and image capture, plus USB streaming, add useful documentation options, but they also introduce more features to manage in the field.
- The package includes two CR123A batteries, so users planning extended outings may want to account for additional power needs.
