ASTRA A-80

Overview

The Astra A-80 is a Spanish-made double-action/single-action semi-automatic pistol introduced in 1982 and heavily influenced by the proven SIG Sauer P220 design, featuring a robust steel frame and reliable operating system. Chambered in 9mm with a 15-round double-stack magazine and a 3.8-inch barrel, the A-80 offered impressive capacity and durability at a time when many service pistols still used single-stack magazines. Manufactured by Astra-Unceta y Cia of Spain, the A-80 earned a reputation as a well-built service pistol and served as the foundation for the later Astra A-90 and A-100 series.
