Overview
Built for casual prospecting and everyday treasure hunting, this detector offers two operating modes so you can either search for all metals or filter out the ones you want to ignore. The waterproof search coil supports use in shallow water, while the adjustable stem, padded armrest, and rubberized handgrip help tailor the setup for comfortable handling. An easy-to-read LCD display provides visual indication of what has been found and the probable depth, and the adjustable sensitivity, discrimination, and volume controls give you more control over how it responds. It also includes a carry bag and runs on 8 AA batteries, which are not included.

Considerations & Trade-offs
- The detector operates on 8 x AA batteries, which are not included, so it requires a separate battery purchase before use.
- The 8 1/2" search coil is waterproof for shallow water use, but the product details do not indicate suitability for deeper water or full submersion.
- The stem adjusts from 24" to 34", which adds fit flexibility, but it may still not suit every user or hunting style equally well.
- Two operation modes and adjustable sensitivity/discrimination controls offer flexibility, but they also mean there is a learning curve to dial in the settings.
