An aggressive non-slip non-reflective surface provides positive grip traction without adding glare during low-light and night operations. Ventilation channels promote airflow along the handguard surface for heat dissipation during sustained fire. Bidirectional locking tabs on either end of each KeyMod panel strip secure the panel to the handguard regardless of installation direction providing installation flexibility and a consistent rattle-free fit across all compatible KeyMod surfaces.
