CHIAPPA FIREARMS RAK-9

Overview

The RAK-9 is a semi-automatic carbine / rifle in 9 mm Luger (9x19 mm) from Chiappa. It's based on an AK-style design, but it is not a traditional AK gas-piston rifle - it's straight blowback. The stamped-steel receiver retains the look and controls of an AK / AKM. Barrel length: ~17.25 (438 mm) according to Chiappa. Capacity: Comes with two 10-round magazines. Feed system: The RAK-9 has a modular magazine well - the factory unit in some versions uses a proprietary single-stack 10-round 9 mm mag, but you can also swap in an adapter to use Glock or Beretta 92/98 mags. Sights: Adjustable AK-style rear tangent sight + post front sight. Safety: Manual safety lever on the right side, like AKs. Weight: Around 6.60 lb per some dealer specs. Finish: Blued / black steel for barrel and receiver (on some variants) + synthetic furniture. Trigger: Single-action. Threaded barrel: the barrel is 1/2 x 28 TPI.
