CMC Triggers Enhanced .308 AR Bolt Carrier Group Features The enhanced carrier assembly is manufactured from case hardened 8620 steel and features a flared rear profile that reduces carrier tilt and cant during recoil. Strategically relocated bearing surfaces reduce friction while increasing reliability and the added carrier mass improves gas pressure management and dwell time. This design enhances extraction performance particularly when shooting suppressed or using short barrel rifles. The bolt is machined from 9310 case hardened steel and held to true Mil-Spec dimensions with external surfaces CNC ground after heat treatment for a precise fit. The area behind the gas rings is also precision ground to minimize carbon buildup and simplify cleaning. Shot peened and black nitride coated bolt components combined with a hardened 4340 cam pin Mil-Spec 8740 firing pin and MPI/HPT testing ensure long term durability and dependable performance.
