Colt Combat Commander Shooter s Model Features The Colt Combat Commander is built around a 4.25 stainless steel barrel paired with a matte black carbon steel frame and serrated optics-ready carbon steel slide delivering reliable accuracy across a wide range of .45 ACP loads in a commander-size profile shorter than a traditional full-size Government Model. The optics-ready slide is pre-cut to a Glock dovetail pattern for direct mounting of miniature red dot sights while the Novak white dot front sight and Glock dovetail black serrated rear sight provide a clean high-visibility iron sight baseline with or without a mounted optic. The dual spring recoil system reduces felt recoil for faster more comfortable follow-up shots while extending recoil spring service life beyond a conventional single-spring setup.
