Daniel Defense DD4P Features Daniel Defense DD4P is built around an 11.5-inch cold hammer-forged 4150 chrome moly vanadium barrel with a 1:7-inch twist rate heavy phosphate coating and chrome lining in the bore and chamber for enhanced corrosion resistance and sustained reliability under high round counts and adverse conditions. The carbine-length gas system and low-profile gas block provide a balanced reliable cycling impulse well-suited to the 11.5-inch barrel length across a wide range of 5.56 NATO ammunition. A DD Flash Suppressor at the 1/2x28 threaded muzzle reduces visible flash signature at the compact barrel length. The 10.5-inch free-float DD4 M-LOK rail provides a slim lightweight handguard with broad accessory mounting compatibility for lights lasers grips and bipods without additional adapters and the free-float design eliminates barrel contact for improved accuracy potential.
