Daniel Defense Mk18 Features The Mk18 is built on a Mil-Spec 7075-T6 aluminum lower receiver featuring an enhanced flared magazine well for fast reliable reloads and a rear receiver QD swivel attachment point for direct sling mounting without additional hardware. The Mil-Spec upper receiver incorporates indexing marks and M4 feed ramps for reliable feeding across a broad range of 5.56x45 ammunition types and both upper and lower receivers are CNC machined and finished with Type III hard coat anodizing for maximum surface hardness and corrosion resistance. The M16 profile bolt carrier group is MP tested chrome lined and features a properly staked gas key ensuring the Mk18 cycles reliably under the conditions that short-barreled carbine-length gas systems demand. The 10.3-inch Chrome Moly Vanadium barrel is cold hammer-forged chrome lined Mil-Spec heavy phosphate coated and HP/MPI tested delivering a barrel that is built to withstand sustained high-volume use without sacrificing accuracy or reliability.
