It is a classic Eddystone-made M1917 Enfield (.30-06 Springfield) that was sporterized years ago for hunting use. This is a strong, reliable WWI-era bolt-action rifle that still operates and functions smoothly.Key features:Original military rear aperture sight with protective wings/ears still in place (rare on sporterized examples - most had them removed or ground off for scope mounting). Front sight is also original.Smooth bolt operation and reliable feeding/extraction.Chambered in the classic and powerful .30-06 Springfield - great for deer, elk, or target shooting.Sporter stock (lighter and more comfortable for field carry than the full military version).Barrel appears full length (please confirm exact measurement when viewing).This rifle makes an excellent shooter right now.
