Faxon 14.5 Gunner Contour Barrel Features The Gunner contour blends a Government-profile chamber section with a Pencil-profile front removing unnecessary weight while maintaining strength and thermal balance. This 14.5 barrel is chambered in 5.56 NATO making it compatible with both 5.56 and .223 Rem ammunition. The 1:8 twist rate offers excellent stabilization across a wide range of bullet weights from 55gr to 77gr. Built from 4150 CMV steel and finished in black salt bath nitride inside and out this barrel provides superior corrosion resistance increased barrel life and reduced friction. The 1/2x28 muzzle threads allow for the easy installation of a muzzle device and the mid-length gas system ensures smooth reliable cycling with less recoil.
