Overview
Built for large waterfowl hunting, this 10 gauge load is set up for hunters who want a heavy 3.5" shell with a 1 5/8 oz payload and 2 shot. Federal pairs the load with its Flitecontrol Flex wad, along with a Catalyst lead-free primer and clean-burning, temperature-stable propellant, to support consistent patterning and reduced residue in the barrel. With 25 rounds per box and a listed muzzle velocity of 1375 fps, it fits well as a dedicated waterfowl option for the blind or field. The steel casing and steel shot configuration keep the load aligned with its intended use, though the heavier 10 gauge format is best suited to hunters set up for that platform.

Considerations & Trade-offs
- 3.5" 10 gauge shells require a compatible shotgun and are not a general-purpose load for lighter-gauge platforms.
- The 1 5/8 oz payload and 2 shot size are tailored to large waterfowl use, so this load is more specialized than an all-around field option.
- A 25-round box is practical for a hunt, but it is a limited quantity if you plan to pattern extensively or shoot multiple outings.
- The load is built around the Flitecontrol Flex wad and lead-free primer system, so it is best considered for hunters who want those specific Federal Black Cloud features.
