Compared to traditional single piece direct thread piston counterparts the CAM-LOK interface provides a rapid QD style attachment method that improves mounting speed while maintaining consistent alignment. The system uses three mounting positions spaced 120 degrees apart allowing quick engagement and repeatable positioning on the host pistol. An internal taper surface locks in place with interfacing CAM-LOK barrel adapters helping drastically reduce or eliminate common baffle and end cap strikes caused by imperfect alignment.
