Griffin Armament Taper Mount Thread Protector Features The Griffin Armament Taper Mount Thread Protector is designed for exclusive use with Griffin Armament taper mount muzzle devices providing thread protection on compatible taper mount platforms when a suppressor is not installed. The taper mount interface locks the thread protector in place during use eliminating the loosening and walking-off issues associated with conventional thread protector designs. At 1 inch in length and 0.20 oz the Taper Mount Thread Protector adds minimal length and virtually no weight to the host muzzle device configuration. The taper mount exclusive design means the Taper Mount Thread Protector is not compatible with M4SD or 30SD SDQD muzzle devices and should only be used with Griffin Armament taper mount muzzle device platforms. While not required for suppressor or muzzle device operation the thread protector provides an added layer of protection for taper mount threads between suppressor installations.
