Overview
Built for hunters and anglers who want a straightforward way to verify a heavy harvest, this hanging game scale is rated to handle up to 550 lbs. and reads in 2-lb. increments. The 8-inch dial is marked in both pounds and kilograms, and adjustable zeroing screws help set the scale before use. A heavy-duty steel case and two steel S-hooks provide a practical setup for connecting to a gambrel or similar accessory. It’s a simple, purpose-driven tool for field or camp use, with the trade-off of a basic analog design rather than a more advanced digital display.

Considerations & Trade-offs
- The scale is designed for hanging game or fish weighing up to 550 lbs., so it is not intended for lighter bench-top or digital-style weighing tasks.
- Readings are shown on an analog dial with 2-lb. increments, which is straightforward but less granular than scales with finer measurement steps.
- The unit weighs 3.8 lbs. with the S-hooks, so it adds some carry weight compared with simpler handheld options.
- Use depends on the included steel S-hooks and a suitable gambrel or other accessory for hanging, so setup is not fully self-contained.
