Overview
This weather radio is built for times when staying informed matters, whether you are at home, in the garage, or traveling in remote locations. It combines AM/FM, long- and shortwave reception with NOAA weather bands 1-7, plus a flashlight for added utility during outages or low-light conditions. Power options are a key part of its appeal: it includes a rechargeable Ni-MH battery, can be charged by computer, hand-cranked, powered by the flip-up adjustable solar panel, or backed up with 3 AA batteries. Considerations & Trade-offs
- The included rechargeable Ni-MH battery can be charged by a computer, but the AC power cord is not included, so wall charging requires a separate cord.
- USB cord, DC charger, and AC power cord are not included, which limits the out-of-box charging options to the included battery, hand crank, solar panel, or separate accessories.
- The radio can run on (3) AA batteries as a backup, but those batteries are not included.
- The product is positioned for bedside use, travel, and emergency preparedness, so it is more of a utility radio than a dedicated hunting-specific device.
