IFG 1886 Sporting Features Created by John Brownings genius and famous for its mechanical strength the 1886 Sporting enabled the introduction of the larger hunting calibers available at the end of the 1800s. It is now offered in a sporting version featuring an octagonal PMG quality barrel made from a full steel bar selected American walnut and a specially finished exterior. The forged and CNC machined frame provides a robust foundation for this historic lever action rifle. This rifle is equipped with an adjustable windage front sight and a Buckhorn rear sight for traditional accuracy. The frame is machined from forged steel and comes drilled and tapped on the left side as is the tang to facilitate the fitting of a peep sight. With a magazine capacity of 8 rounds the 1886 Sporting combines classic design with the reliable performance required for modern sporting applications.
