Kel-Tec Shell Case Deflector Handle Features The Kel-Tec shell case deflector handle for SU-16 and PLR-16 is a drop-in replacement operating handle designed to deflect cases in a more forward direction for safer more predictable ejection. This feature helps keep spent brass moving away from the shooter and surrounding gear supporting better range comfort and field handling. Standard on SU-16C and SU-16CA models it offers proven function as an OEM-style upgrade for compatible rifles and pistols. Its overmolded exterior provides a larger surface area making it easier to grab and manipulate during charging malfunction clearance and administrative handling. The enhanced grip area improves comfort and control especially when shooting with gloves or in wet conditions. This part does not work with SU-22 or PLR-22 as it may deflect cases back into the receiver so it should only be used on SU-16 and PLR-16 platforms.
