Kel-Tec Sub-2000 Features The Kel-Tec Sub-2000 is a folding pistol caliber carbine designed to run pistol cartridges while remaining compact lightweight and easy to deploy. Different versions accept most modern handgun magazines and this configuration is built for Smith & Wesson M&P compatibility making it an excellent pairing with an M&P .40 pistol. The bolt can be locked in the rear position using the operating handle and the barrel rotates upward and back to fold the carbine down into an ultra-compact storage size for travel backpacking or vehicle carry. Safety and practicality are core design elements using a protected push bolt safety that disconnects the trigger bar while interlocking the hammer and sear. The carbine also includes an internal deployment lock that is operated by a proprietary key for added storage security. A rear aperture sight and fluorescent front sight provide fast sight acquisition with the front sight adjustable for windage and elevation. The Sub-2000 can be disassembled for cleaning or inspection without tools making maintenance simple and field-friendly.
