Overview
Built for demanding utility work, this full-size multi-tool is aimed at users who need a broad tool set in a low-profile package. Its matte black finish and military-spec designation make it a practical choice for night operations and other situations where a subdued appearance matters. With 21 tools, including an extra-large blade, saw, scissors, replaceable wire cutters, and a Blade Exchanger socket for T-shank blades, it is designed to handle a wide range of field and maintenance tasks. The included ballistic nylon sheath and all-locking, outside-accessible tools add convenience, though the size and feature set make it a more substantial carry than a compact everyday tool.

Considerations & Trade-offs
- The Surge is a large-format multi-tool, so it offers capability at the expense of a more compact carry profile.
- Its outside-accessible, one-hand-operable design is practical, but the tool set is still substantial enough to be more task-focused than minimalist.
- The included ballistic nylon sheath adds carry convenience, though it is a separate sheath-based setup rather than a pocket-friendly carry option.
- The matte black military finish supports low-profile use, but it is a finish choice rather than a performance feature and may not suit every preference.
