Liberty s Civil Defense rounds are designed to achieve more stopping power(kinetic energy) and terminal effect (wound cavity/lethality) than anyother handgun round. A personal defense round the Civil Defense line islead-free and uses a monolithic nickel-plated copper fragmenting projectilewith a deep cavity hollow point in a nickel-plated (brass) cartridge case.Civil Defense travels at approximately twice the speed of traditional leadbased ammunition and delivers 30 to 40% more kinetic energy transfer thanother leading ammunition. The 50 GR 380 Auto Civil Defense round generatesvelocities in excess of 1500 FPS with more than 250 FPE of kinetic energy.
