Overview

Built for anglers who want a compact soft-bodied swimbait option, this bait is suited to open water as well as presentations around vegetation and other cover. Its smaller, lighter profile keeps the same general action and design approach as the original while offering a more manageable size for targeted situations. The improved MAG-HOLD SYSTEM secures the treble hook along the belly, helping maintain a cleaner profile and reducing the chance of snagging. Finished in Ablette, it gives serious hunters a practical swimbait choice when a streamlined presentation matters.

Considerations & Trade-offs

The 5" size and 3/4 oz weight make this a more compact option than the original Magdraft, so it may suit situations where a smaller profile is preferred, but it is not the larger-format version.
The MAG-HOLD SYSTEM keeps the treble hook positioned along the belly for a streamlined shape, which can help reduce snagging, but it also means the hook is intentionally tucked away rather than fully exposed.
This bait is described as suitable for open water and for use tight to vegetation or other cover, so it offers versatility, but anglers still need to match retrieve and presentation to the conditions.
Only the Ablette color is specified here, so color selection is limited to the information provided for this listing.
