Overview
Built for flipping presentations, this jig is aimed at anglers working heavy cover where a compact, controlled fall matters. Its full-size profile and extra stout hook are paired with a weight-forward balance around the hook shank, helping it move naturally through vegetation, grass, wood, laydowns, and docks. The long, full-bodied skirt adds a lifelike look on the drop, while the custom 5/0 VMC Flipping Hook is designed to support solid hook penetration. Considerations & Trade-offs
- The full-size profile and long skirt may be more than needed when a smaller, subtler presentation is the goal.
- Its extra stout hook and flipping-focused design are geared toward heavier gear and close-quarters cover work, so it is less of a finesse option.
- The weight-forward balance is intended for a natural fall through cover, but that same setup may not be the best fit for every retrieve style or open-water situation.
- Color options are described as custom blended, so selection may be more limited than with broader standard color assortments.
