The Mossberg 940 Pro Tactical is a modern semi-automatic shotgun that evolved from the 940 platform, which was first introduced in 2020 as the 940 JM Pro competition shotgun in collaboration with Jerry and Lena Miculek. The tactical version, released in 2022, is designed for defense and draws its heritage from the competition model, incorporating improvements like a self-regulating gas system, an enhanced polymer forend, and interchangeable choke tubes. The 940 series itself replaced the older 930 model, addressing shortcomings identified in the 930, particularly regarding the gas system's reliability and need for cleaning. This tactical shotgun is ready to add your favorite optic. Excellent for home protection.
