The Nagoya Arsenal Type 99 is one of the most recognizable Japanese military rifles of World War II. This example retains several desirable original military features including the intact Imperial chrysanthemum ("Mum"), folding anti-aircraft sight wings, and a chrome-lined bore. It remains in its military configuration and would make a solid addition to any military surplus collection. The rifle shows honest service wear throughout. The wood stock has scattered handling marks and dings consistent with age and use. There is a noticeable crack on the left side of the buttstock; however, it does not appear to affect the rifle's usability. The metal finish has developed an aged patina, and the rifle retains its original metal buttplate. The intact Imperial Mum and folding aircraft sight wings remain present. The chrome bore is clean.Features:Manufacturer: Nagoya ArsenalModel: Arisaka Type 99Caliber: 7.7 JapaneseBarrel Length: 26"Capacity: 5 RoundsAction: Bolt ActionBore: Chrome BoreFolding Anti-Aircraft Rear Sight WingsHooded Front SightMilitary Wood StockSteel ButtplateSling SwivelsBolt Handle Turned Down
