Overview
Built for anglers who want a refined take on a proven floating bait, this lure combines premium balsa wood with a natural baitfish profile and the classic wounded-minnow action Rapala is known for. Added weight helps support longer, more accurate casts, while the one-piece through-wire construction is designed for durability. It can be worked at ultra-slow to very fast retrieves, whether cast or trolled, making it a versatile option for multi-species freshwater use. High-definition patterns with metallic gilded faces give it a more finished presentation without changing the lure’s straightforward purpose.

Considerations & Trade-offs
- Premium balsa wood gives the lure a traditional floating profile, so it’s best suited to anglers who want that classic presentation rather than a sinking option.
- The increased weight is intended to improve casting distance and accuracy, but it also changes the feel from the lighter Original Floating Lure.
- Its action is described across a very wide retrieve range, yet the lure still centers on a wounded-minnow profile, so presentation style matters.
- The high-definition metallic gilded finishes add visual detail, but they are a finish choice rather than a performance feature.
