Overview
Built as a magnum-sized crankbait, this lure is aimed at anglers targeting predator fish with a baitfish profile and a natural swimming action. It can be used in both saltwater and freshwater, and its 5 to 9 foot unassisted dive range makes it suitable for covering mid-depth water while casting or trolling. The stainless steel through wire construction and 3/0 VMC black nickel hooks add practical durability, while the balsa wood body keeps the design rooted in Rapala’s classic crankbait style. With more than 10 color options, it gives hunters of open-water gamefish a versatile choice without adding unnecessary complexity.

Considerations & Trade-offs
- The magnum size and 1 5/8 ounce weight make this a more specialized crankbait than smaller shad-style lures, so it may be less suited to lighter tackle or finesse presentations.
- It is designed to dive to 5 to 9 feet unassisted, which gives it a defined running range rather than broad depth flexibility.
- The bait is offered in over 10 colors, but choosing the right finish will still depend on water conditions and target species.
- Its cast-or-troll design adds versatility, but anglers looking for a single-purpose lure may not need both applications.
