Overview
Built for hunters who want a compact crossbow with serious downrange capability, this package combines a 29-inch overall length and 6-inch axle-to-axle width with a 450 FPS rating. The fully integrated Versa-Draw cocking system keeps cocking effort to 12 lbs., which can make setup more manageable in the field or at the range. HeliCoil technology and the Frictionless Flight system are included to support balanced operation and straight nock-point travel, while the Trac-Trigger firing system is designed to provide consistent shot release. It is a focused option for hunters who value a compact profile, speed, and an accuracy-oriented design in one setup.

Considerations & Trade-offs
- The compact 29" overall length and 6" axle-to-axle width can be an advantage in tight setups, but it also leaves less room for error when handling and mounting accessories.
- The fully integrated Versa-Draw cocking system requires just 12 lbs. of cocking force, but it still adds a dedicated step to the setup process before shooting.
- The package is built around speed and accuracy features, but the description does not provide blade-style simplicity or broad accessory compatibility details, so buyers should verify what is included before purchase.
- At this price point, the R29X is a specialized crossbow package, so it makes the most sense for hunters who will use its compact format and integrated systems rather than those seeking a more basic setup.
