Considerations & Trade-offs
- The R8 is fully assembled and pre-tuned, which is convenient, but it also means there is less room for setup customization out of the box.
- It includes a fixed-power 3x32 scope, so hunters who prefer variable magnification will need to work within that format.
- The package is built around the included Ravin arrows and field points, so additional accessories may be needed depending on your setup and hunting style.
- At 420 fps, the R8 is positioned for performance, but that level of speed may come with a more specialized shooting and handling experience than a simpler crossbow setup.
