This is a Remington Model 1100 12 gauge semi-automatic shotgun, serial number DU6242, from the Ducks Unlimited commemorative series produced in the early 1980s as part of the Atlantic Flyway / Chesapeake edition. Specifications: Gauge: 12 GA, chambered for 2 3/4" or shorter shells Barrel: 30-inch vent rib with fixed Full choke Receiver: Blued finish with gold scroll engraving on both sides and prominent Ducks Unlimited shield medallion featuring US and Canadian flags with a flying duck. Marked "Remington Model 1100" in gold lettering Serial Number: DU6242 (DU prefix characteristic of Ducks Unlimited limited editions) Stock and Forend: Checkered American walnut with distinctive forend checkering pattern, cut checkering on grip, and black Remington buttplate Markings: Barrel date code PX T (indicating June production in the early 1980s). Standard factory proof and inspection marks present including REP in oval on barrel History: Remington partnered with Ducks Unlimited to produce these commemorative firearms in support of wetlands conservation efforts.
