The Remington 522 Viper is a .22 LR semi-automatic rimfire rifle introduced by Remington in 1993 and discontinued in 1997, lasting only five years due to poor acceptance. It was a short-lived successor to the Nylon 66, featuring a black synthetic stock and 10-round detachable magazines, but suffered from problematic plastic magazines and a lack of maintenance-friendly design. Its successor, the Remington 597, was released in the same year the Viper was discontinued. NO MAG!
