Manufactured December 1955, this Remington is in excellent condition. The 740 Woodmaster was made for a total of 5 years between 1955-1960 making this particular model one of the first to roll out of the factory. Wood stock and forestock have some blemishes and scratches. See pictures. Barrel is clean, clear and has a good bore. Overall for a 71 year old rifle this old timer looks amazing.
