Overview

The Remington 788 was a bolt-action rifle produced from 1967 to 1983, designed by Wayne Leek as a more affordable and accurate alternative to the Model 700. Key features included a rear-locking bolt with nine lugs for a fast lock time and a detachable magazine, initially offered at a bargain price of about \(\$90\). Despite its economy design, the rifle gained a reputation for exceptional accuracy, making it a popular choice for value-conscious hunters and varmint shooters. The bluing shows wear but can't find any pitting in the barrel. The stock is in perfect shape and the Vortex optic is one of the best. This is a great hunting rifle with lots of life still left in her.
