Overview
Built for hunting use, this .17 HMR load pairs a 17-grain jacketed hollow point bullet with a 50-round box format suited to time at the range or in the field. The listed 2550 ft/s muzzle velocity and match-type accuracy make it a practical option for hunters looking for a rimfire cartridge with a more decisive terminal profile. It is positioned for medium-sized game, though users should still match the load to their specific rifle and hunting conditions.

Considerations & Trade-offs
- This is a .17 HMR load, so it’s best matched to rifles chambered specifically for that cartridge and not interchangeable with other rimfire or centerfire rounds.
- The 17-grain JHP is described for hunting use with rapid expansion, which can be a trade-off if your priority is deeper penetration over expansion.
- At 50 rounds per box, it’s a relatively small quantity for high-volume practice or extended range sessions.
- The listed muzzle velocity is 2550 ft/s, so actual performance will still depend on the firearm and conditions; verify suitability for your intended game and local regulations.
