The Sturm, Ruger & Co. P89 DC is a rugged, double-action/single-action semi-automatic service pistol featuring a decocker-only mechanism instead of a manual safety. Introduced around 1992-1993 as an evolution of the troubled Ruger P85, it utilized cost-effective investment casting before being discontinued in late 2009.The Ruger P89DC has a standard factory capacity of 15+1 rounds of 9mm Luger. Some variants shipped with 10+1 rounds due to historical federal law restrictions, and various aftermarket options exist.
