This highly popular baseline model features an 18.5-inch cold hammer-forged alloy steel barrel secured into an aluminum alloy receiver via a durable two-screw V-block system. Out of the box, it measures 37 inches in overall length, has a 13.5-inch length of pull, and maintains a highly maneuverable weight of exactly 5.0 pounds. For ammunition delivery, it utilizes the famous detachable 10-round flush-fit rotary magazine, although it easily accepts higher-capacity factory extensions like the BX-15 and BX-25. Safety is managed manually through a push-button cross-bolt system situated near the guard of the high-strength, glass-filled polymer trigger housing. Target acquisition comes standard with a fixed gold bead front sight and a folding, adjustable white diamond rear sight, but users can easily add optics using the included combination Weaver-style and .22 tip-off scope base adapter. Finally, the structural frame rests on a walnut-finished traditional hardwood stock capped off with a clean, black polymer buttplate.
