Built on the proven Savage Model 110 action, it combines exceptional accuracy with a rigid MDT LSS XL aluminum chassis that provides a stable shooting platform and extensive adjustability. The rifle features a heavy, free-floating, button-rifled carbon steel barrel with a threaded muzzle for the attachment of muzzle devices or suppressors where legally permitted. A factory-installed 20 MOA Picatinny rail allows mounting of optics optimized for extended-range shooting. The user-adjustable AccuTrigger provides a crisp trigger pull, typically adjustable from approximately 1.5 to 4 pounds, while the floating bolt head and dual locking lugs enhance accuracy and consistent lockup. The MDT chassis includes an adjustable cheek riser, adjustable length of pull, AR-style pistol grip compatibility, M-LOK accessory mounting slots, and compatibility with AICS-pattern detachable box magazines. The rifle uses a three-position tang safety and an oversized tactical bolt handle for reliable operation and ease of use. The Model 110 Precision has been offered in several chamberings, including .223 Remington, .308 Winchester, 6mm Creedmoor, 6.5 Creedmoor, .300 Winchester Magnum, .300 PRC, and .338 Lapua Magnum. Barrel lengths typically range from 20 to 26 inches depending on caliber, and unloaded weight is approximately 12 pounds.
