Considerations & Trade-offs
- The 15 mm width is suited to larger fly bodies, so it may be less appropriate when you need a finer profile or more subdued presentation.
- Its fluorescent yellow finish is designed for visibility, which can be useful in some patterns but may be too bold for anglers wanting a lower-profile look.
- This is a chenille material for fly tying rather than a finished fly component, so it requires tying experience and additional materials to use effectively.
- It is packaged in a 3-meter bag, which is practical for experimentation but may be limiting if you tie larger quantities of the same pattern.
