Overview
Built for anglers who want a compact baitcasting reel that fits cleanly into tight casting situations, this model is aimed at both tournament use and everyday fishing. Shimano’s SilentTune technology is designed to reduce vibration during high-speed rotation, helping keep casts quieter and more controlled, while the thin-walled S3D spool is intended to limit weight and vibration during casting and retrieval. Hagane construction adds rigidity and durability for the demands of fighting fish, and the reel is offered in left- and right-hand retrieves with multiple gear ratios to suit different setups.

Considerations & Trade-offs
- The low-profile design is well suited to tight casting spaces, but it is still a specialized baitcasting reel rather than a general-purpose option.
- SilentTune is aimed at reducing vibration during high-speed rotation, so the benefit is most relevant when casting and retrieving at pace rather than in every situation.
- The reel is offered in left- and right-hand retrieves and three gear ratios, which adds flexibility, but it also means the exact setup needs to be chosen to match your fishing style.
- Hagane construction and the thin-walled S3D spool are positioned around rigidity and reduced vibration, but the product details do not specify the full build materials or performance limits, so expectations should stay within the listed features.
