Overview
Built for Service Rifle competition, this 77-grain .22 caliber MatchKing bullet is intended for shooters using M16A2/AR-15A2 platforms and magazine-compatible cartridge lengths. It is described as a match bullet with a record-setting accuracy reputation, making it suited to precision-focused range work and competition use. Sierra notes that MatchKing and Tipped MatchKing bullets are not recommended for most hunting applications, and this design is also not intended to deliver the same explosive expansion as lightly jacketed varmint bullets. A barrel twist rate of 1:8 or faster is required.
