Split Foam Back(TM) - Baetis Originally designed as midge patterns for the Grey Reef Section of the North Platte River, the Split Foam Back(TM) is unique in that it incorporates a small bit of dense foam that both enhances the appearance of the fly but also a small bit of buoyancy with a split down the back with one type of flashing or another. They can also be slightly weighted to get down a bit. With incredible detail for such small patterns, the Split Foam Back(TM) is our most successful midge pattern. Colors: Baetis, Orange Head Baetis, Black, BWO, Brown, Grey, Purple Back Baetis, Tan, Trico, Olive, Red & PMD. Depending on the pattern, available in sizes # 16 - # 22
