The standard Springfield Armory Echelon 4.0C Compact strikes the ultimate balance between concealable personal defense and duty-grade firepower. Purpose-built for everyday carry (EDC), this model shortens the muzzle and grip profile of the standard platform into a highly adaptable package. Shipping directly from the factory with one 15-round flush-fit magazine for maximum concealment and one 18-round extended magazine, the Echelon 4.0C gives defensive shooters the flexibility to choose their ideal capacity layout.Built around a 4-inch hammer-forged steel barrel with a rugged Melonite(R) finish, the 4.0C delivers pinpoint accuracy and exceptional handling. The core of this cutting-edge platform is the Central Operating Group (COG)-a self-contained, serialized chassis system that allows the firing mechanism to be easily pulled out and swapped into different grip modules or frame configurations. The compact polymer frame ensures an exceptionally secure hold, featuring adaptive grip texturing that remains comfortable against skin yet locks firmly into the hand when firing.The billet-machined slide features Springfield's patent-pending Variable Interface System (VIS).
