Its 16 inch CMV barrel uses a continuous taper profile with a nitride finish and a 1:10 twist rate optimized for .308 projectiles and paired with a 4-prong flash hider. The direct impingement intermediate-length gas system uses a taper-pinned gas block to support smooth reliable cycling. This rifle features Springfield's patented Triple-Lock aluminum free float handguard with full-length top rail M-LOK slots and QD mounting points.
