Overview
Built for topwater presentations around thick cover, this compact lure is aimed at bass anglers working dense vegetation and other tight strike zones. Its popping action is designed to imitate injured baitfish and draw aggressive attention at the surface, while the 70 mm profile and 3/4 oz weight help it move through cover with control. The Gamakatsu #5/0 double hook adds a secure hook-up point for fish that commit. Available in multiple colors, it offers a straightforward option for anglers looking for a surface bait suited to heavy cover situations.

Considerations & Trade-offs
- Topwater presentation means it is intended for surface use, so it is not a fit when fish are holding deeper.
- Its compact 70 mm profile and 3/4 oz weight make it easy to work through thick cover, but that smaller footprint may be less visible in some conditions.
- The loud popping action is designed to draw aggressive strikes, which can be effective in cover but may also call attention to the lure in pressured water.
- Color options are available, but the right choice will depend on local conditions and forage rather than a single universal setup.
